WWE Wrestlemania XXX Season Predictions

As we begin to go into a new year of 2014, this time of the year becomes Wrestlemania season for the fans of the WWE. But this Wrestlemania season is quite a bit different from many others – its leading up to the biggest Wrestlemania of all time, Wrestlemania XXX, which will be held on April 6, 2014 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

New Orleans, Louisiana.

But as we go into this special time of the year for wrestling fans, nothing has really been set in stone for the upcoming event that we can actually forsee right now.

Here are a few things that we do know that could be coming down the pipe to look out for:

Batista will probably go up against Randy Orton or Undertaker.

With the announcement of Batista coming back to the WWE on a regular basis, no question that Triple H, Vince McMahon and the rest of WWE creative will want to have him make a big impact quickly. He will be entered into the WWE Royal Rumble in January & my guess will be that he wins the event and will be positioned to go up against Randy Orton at Wrestlemania for the WWE Championship.

Batista
Newly-returning WWE Superstar Batista.

If Batista doesn’t win it, I predict that he will be in position to go up against the Undertaker in a rematch of their confrontation at Wrestlemania 23 in 2007. Either way, Batista will be a major contributing factor to the immediate plans for the next few months in WWE. Though, keep in mind that Batista will most likely take time off to promote his new movie “Guardians of the Galaxy” by Marvel, which will be a huge movie & entertainment breakthrough for Batista.

Undertaker will go up against either Batista, John Cena or Brock Lesnar.

The Undertaker & his role at Wrestlemania could be the most flexible for WWE & the creative team. They could have him go up against Batista again, which could end up being a very strong match, or if the company wants to tease that the streak could truly come to an end, it could be against Brock Lesnar or John Cena.

The Undertaker
The Undertaker.

Anyone of those opponents would be a big money draw, however, I see Lesnar or Cena being in this role because either one of those guys can go with Undertaker & and if Cena were in position to end the streak – and actually did it – it would set social media & the wrestling community completely a blaze with controversy and the love & hate for John Cena would reach uncanny levels, which would do great for overall buy rates.

Hulk Hogan could end up somewhere on the Wrestlemania XXX card.

Hulk Hogan was the driving force of the WWF/WWE during the 80s & early 90s when the WWE was working to become a household name, just as Stone Cold Steve Austin did in the 90s & 2000s and John Cena has been through today. Having Hogan at Wrestlemania in some capacity makes sense from a historical standpoint, however, having him actually wrestle doesn’t look like such a feasible thing to pull off right now.

WWE Hall of Famer & Icon Hulk Hogan.

Hogan has had knee & hip replacement surgeries as well as back injuries in the last few years & having him in the ring could be a huge health & injury risk such as it was when Jerry “The King” Lawler had his match earlier this year.

If Hogan is involved in the card itself, I can’t imagine him being put with anyone else other than in a team situation with John Cena, basically having the past meet the present and the future.

Daniel Bryan Will Be a World Champion at Wrestlemania XXX.

The storyline with Daniel Bryan this year has been one of the most captivating in many years, which has also turned into great matches for the fans with the Shield, John Cena, Randy Orton & others.

Bryan has been a featured performer on the “Total Divas” WWE reality show through his relationship with Brie Bella, he has been one of the most popular superstars for many years even on the independent circuit in his time with Ring of Honor, and even with the WWE wanting to not always give Bryan his credit, he has become one of the most consistent performers in the WWE.

breakout years of any superstar in ages in 2013.

Wrestlemania XXX should be the time for Bryan to win a world championship & have a somewhat sustained reign, preferably over Randy Orton, but who knows if that will actually work out. Orton & Bryan have had phenomenal matches over the last few months and to see them have a true 30-minute classic at the biggest stage would be one of the best scenarios the company could have.

The Authority Storyline with Stephanie McMahon & Triple H Will Come To An Ending With CM Punk.

WWE has been throwing subtle hints in on recent episodes of Monday Night Raw that CM Punk will be the guy to face Triple H at Wrestlemania. My guess would be that the winner will have some kind of control over the company in the storylines, which would make sense because it gives Punk a main role in the company & protects his body.

CM Punk
WWE Superstar CM Punk.

Punk hasn’t really had anything very hot since the Brock Lesnar match at Summerslam & the Undertaker match at Wrestlemania 29, so this would be the perfect fit to have him back in the true thick of things in the storylines.

However, if this is the end of that part of the storyline, I sincerely hope that we don’t see the end of the beautiful Stephanie McMahon and random magazine photos that pop out like this one –
