7:00 p.m. The Seattle Seahawks will open their 2014 NFL Schedule with the Thursday Night Kickoff game on NBC against the Green Bay Packers. This is typically the game where the team gets their SuperBowl banner raised & of course the 12th man will be rocking like no other. Plus, this is the repeat of the “Fail Mary” game of 2012, which essentially set up the Seahawks success in the future.

6:48 p.m. The San Francisco 49ers will open the new Levi’s Stadium against the Chicago Bears in Week 2. The 49ers are coming off of a stinging loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship game last year & will be looking to get to the SuperBowl, or bust this year, according to Tight End Vernon Davis today.

6:46 p.m. We now know that the Detroit Lions & New York Giants will kick off the season on Monday Night Football at Ford Field in Detroit. The first time for my Detroit Lions to be opening the season on MNF. The Lions will need to have a big season this year with new HC Jim Caldwell, Quarterback Matthew Stafford having new weapons at receiver & of course, Calvin Johnson being Calvin Johnson.
