NFL Draft – #8 Pick – Cleveland Browns – Justin Gilbert

In a big time shocker, the Cleveland Browns took a cornerback in Justin Gilbert from Oklahoma State. Gilbert is one of the best CBs in the country, but the team desperately needs a quarterback who can be a true franchise player. The team signed Vince Young & Tyler Thigpen & has Brian Hoyer on the roster, but the team needed someone to be the face of the team for years to come.

Gilbert does have Pro Bowl level play, but points have to be scored in order to be successful. Kind of a head scratcher. This might make WR Josh Gordon think a bit about his future in Cleveland, in terms of whether the Browns will have a guy who can get him the ball consistently.
