At DraftKingsMaster, we are featuring a new area where we will talk about the best Detroit Tigers to play in DraftKings daily fantasy baseball leagues for that particular day. We will look at the salary & if they are solid in a tournament or cash play.
Today, the Tigers will be taking on the Toronto Blue Jays at Comerica Park, which is a game that has many opportunities to have some good pitching & hitting matchups. With that said, here are four picks to play in your DFS league today. Remember to check your lineup before the game starts.
Kinsler’s bat has really turned hot lately – he has a hit in 8 of his last 10 games, & is hitting over .400 (.407) against lefties. Kinsler is 3-10 lifetime against Toronto’s starting pitcher J.A. Happ. In the last seven days, he is hitting .321 with 8 RBIs. Kinsler would be solid in a cash game, especially playing at home. On DraftKings, Kinsler is worth $4,700.
V-Mart is playing incredibly well right now & swinging a hot bat, going 2-4 on Sunday & currently hitting .352 this year. Coming into Sunday, he has double digit DraftKings points in 4 of his last 5 games & has had decent success against J.A. Happ, hitting .286. Martinez is currently $4,400 right now & should be a solid play in a tournament.
While Cabrera doesn’t have any hits in 5 at-bats against Happ, the sample size is way too small to not take a chance on him for Monday’s game. Cabrera is hitting over .300 in the last week & really came around nicely during the series against the Angels & got his bat going even more against the White Sox. He is coming back from back tightness, but Cabrera has played through pain before & with a lefty coming up, it should be a good chance for Miguel to have a good night at the plate. Currently, Cabrera is $4,300, just under Victor Martinez in salary. If you are going with a stack lineup for the Tigers, Cabrera should be a good play to go with.
At $9,900 on DraftKings, we like Fulmer here. He is running a great hot streak right now, averaging just under 32 DraftKings points per game over the last three games. He has over six strikeouts in five of his seven starts this year as a rookie. He has a 3.24 ERA & while the Blue Jays are having a good streak right now, if you are looking to save some money in a tournament play, Fulmer would be a smart play here.
