DraftKings NFL DFS Picks – Week 7 – Running Backs

Le'Veon Bell DraftKings Fantasy
The Steelers will look to get Le'Veon Bell much more involved in the team offense against the Bengals in Week 7. The All-Pro back ran for 179 yards on 32 carries in a win against the Chiefs.

While week 6 was a big week for quarterbacks in the NFL, week 7 is shaping up to be a big week for running backs. Many elite level running backs, as well as young players will be thrust into starring roles. With that in mind, lets look at DraftKings NFL DFS picks for running back in Week 7.

DraftKings NFL DFS Picks – Running Backs – Week 7

Adrian Peterson – $5,800

Last week, AP had a huge resurrgence in the Arizona Cardinals offense. The future HOF running back ran for 134 yards on 26 carries, with a touchdown. He showed that he still has something left in his tank in an offense that is very balanced.

Even at his age, which should be downhill for most backs, Peterson has the chance to truly become a force with the Cardinals. His presence alone helped Carson Palmer have extra time in the pocket & see more one-on-ones with receivers. Peterson was able to be explosive against the Tampa Bay Bucs defense.

Look for him to get plenty of carries going forward, especially against the Rams. The Rams are ranked 27th against the rush in DraftKings NFL. With the Cardinals having a formidable passing attack, Peterson should be able to hit holes hard and breakout again in week 7.

Carlos Hyde – $5,900

While Hyde has had a solid year for the 49ers, we look at him as a guy who is valuable in goal line situations. He ran for only 28 yards against the Redskins, but had two touchdowns in the red zone. He was also valuable catching the all with five receptions for 47 yards.

The Cowboys have not been able to stop the run much this year. They are ranked 20th in the NFL against the run (allowing 118 yards per game). The 49ers offense has been better, and looked healthier under QB C.J. Bethard, and the team will look to help out the rookie QB by feeding Hyde the ball. The more Hyde gets the ball, the more the 49ers offense should open up against a subpar Cowboys D.

Le’Veon Bell – $9,100

Finally, Le’Veon Bell came alive in the Steelers offense. The All-Pro gained 179 yards on 32 carries in a big win against the formerly undefeated Chiefs. The Steelers realized that they have to get back to being balanced again in order to succeed.

The points weren’t heavy at all, but we feel that will come. The Bengals have had a solid defense against the run (ranked 15th in DraftKings NFL), but Bell is dangerous, as usual, with his running & receiving out of the backfield.

With Ben Roethlisberger trying to get back to his old self, he will be looking to put more of the load back on Bell. Any team that plays the Steelers know that there is always the need to pay attention to Antonio Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Martavius Bryant downfield. With Bell back playing a major role in the offense, DraftKings fantasy owners should feel real comfortable using him in cash games & GPP formats.

Duke Johnson – $4,900

In a season where there isn’t much to cheer about in Cleveland with the Browns, Duke Johnson Jr has been a bright spot. He has been a bright spot for the Browns, but also in DraftKings DFS.

While his rushing yards have not been impressive (only 77 yards in 16 rushes this season), he has been targeted in the passing game frequently. He has had at least 5 targets in each game this season, and because of the mix, he has double-digit DraftKings points in 4 of 6 games this year.

Look for the Browns to at least try to get Johnson involved against a solid Tennessee defense.
