In this post, we will look at the top wide receivers going into week 7 of DraftKings NFL. While the best receivers are actually playing in primetime games this week, this layout will be for the main Sunday slate of games.
DraftKings NFL DFS Picks – Week 7 – Wide Receivers
Antonio Brown – $8,900
Brown is simply the best wide receiver in the NFL. Hands down. Not a debate. He is worth spending the big money on, even with the Steelers being out of whack in the last month.
AB had another big day receiving, having 10 receptions for 155 yards & an insane touchdown. Big Ben will always get AB his touches, and with rumors of Martavious Bryant wanting a trade, look for Brown to get even more targets if that’s possible.
In four of six games this year, he has over 10 catches. In many ways, he has been the key reason why the Steelers, despite the drama around the team, has been in contention for the SuperBowl. This pick will have nothing to do with the fact that the Bengals have the 4th best pass defense in the league. Talent should simply win out here.
John Brown – $4,900
Brown has been dealing with nagging injuries all season. Against Tampa Bay in week 6, Brown was able to get going a bit, having three receptions for 63 yards & a touchdown in their win against Arizona.
He is a great complimentary piece to Larry Fitzgerald and will get more one-on-one looks with Adrian Peterson making defenses think a bit. John Brown has tremendous speed & can take the top off defensive backfields when healthy. In the three previous games this year, he had at least seven targets in each game.
The targets went down a bit seemingly due to more carries for Peterson. At under $5K, this is a guy to definitely take a flyer on in GPP formats. The Rams do have a solid pass defense, but eyes will need to be in the backfield paying attention to the 50/50 options that the Cardinals possess now.
We expect a possible breakout day for this speedster.
JuJu Smith-Schuster – $3,800
Smith-Schuster might be getting an upgraded role in the Steelers passing game soon. With rumors of Martavious Bryant not being happy & wanting a trade, the Steelers might play Smith-Schuster outside opposite Antonio Brown much more.
While he only had three receptions for 32 yards against Kansas City, he is growing into the Steeler offense more & more. He looks very comfortable running his routes, and he has at least four targets in 4 of 5 games this year. At under $4,000, Smith-Schuster is a guy who is definitely worth taking a flyer on if a roster spot needs to be filled at the last minute.
Kelvin Benjamin – $6,900
Benjamin is a guy who is due for a true breakout game shortly. He leads the Panthers in receptions & yards, yet has only one touchdown. That touchdown was a rushing touchdown.
He has worked to make sure his body & conditioning is in phenomenal shape, but has to fight for touchdown opportunties. Cam Newton loves to run himself and he has become very fond of Devin Funchess. All of that said, four of his seven games this year he has been targeted over five times.
The former Florida State Seminole is far too talented to not have more scores at this point. The Panthers’ offense is starting to get their flow going much more, and KB is going to be a major part of them staying strong in the NFC West.
