As Christmas gets nearer, we have more busy nights of the NBA. Thursday night is a light night on the slate, but again, great opportunities to get big points & get good cash. With that said, here are our picks for Thursday DraftKings NBA.
DraftKings NBA Point Guards – December 21, 2017
Kyle Lowry – $8,600
Lowry has a great matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers are allowing almost 82 DraftKings points per game over the last 5. Over the last 10, it hasn’t been much better with the team allowing almost 77.
Lowry has a ceiling of 55 over the last 10. The minutes have been incredibly solid all year long, and 9 of the last 10 have been over 30 minutes per night. In the last matchup against the 76ers, the former NBA All-Star had 32 DK points on 17 points, 5 rebounds & 5 assists.
Kyrie Irving – $8,700
While the Knicks have played much better on defense lately, Kyrie Irving is going to have much more offensive output. Jayson Tatum left the game Wednesday due to accidentally having his hand stepped on. Assuming he misses the game or has some reduced minutes, look for Kyrie to have a much stronger offensive output against the Knicks.
Four of the last five games Kyrie has over 30 regular points. He has a ceiling of 51 DraftKings points with a floor of 32. In his one game against the Knicks, he had 35 DK points on 20 points, 7 assists & 3 rebounds.
Ricky Rubio – $5,400
Rubio is a solid pick if Donovan Mitchell misses another game because of his toe injury. The former PG for Minnesota had a rough game on Wednesday night. He had only 8.50 DraftKings points and had as many turnovers (5) as points.
However, San Antonio has given up an average of 82 Draftkings points over the last 5 games, so there is definitely come kind of defensive issue at the guard position.
