Kevin Love – $8,300
Love has been dominant in terms of DraftKings NBA points recently. He had 21 & 10 in the loss to Milwaukee in their last game for a DK number of 44. Nine of last ten games he has been over 35 DK points, with a ceiling of 54 & a floor of 27.
The Bulls, though they are playing much better, still can’t guard big men well. They are the 6th worst in the NBA in terms of defending against PFs/Cs, allowing a combined average of 132 DK points per game at the position. Love can extend the Bulls out to the perimeter effectively.
In two games against the Bulls this season, Love is shooting 51% from the field, 46% from the three-point range, and averaging 22 points & 12 rebounds per outing. That equals to a 42 DraftKings point average. Basically. go with K.Love.
Al Horford – $7,200
Horford has quiet been a true beast down low for the Celtics. Even though he had a bad night shooting (2-10 from the field), he had nearly a double-double, grabbing 8 rebounds and 18 DraftKings points. That is important because even on a bad night for his standards, he can give enough points to make a big difference in lineups.
Overall, three of his last four games he has over 40 DraftKings NBA points & he has been strong against the Knicks this year. He is averaging 13 points & 13 rebounds per games in two outings this year. That leads to an average of 40.2 DraftKings DFS points. The Celtics have a physical lineup & with Porzingis dealing with some nagging injuries, look for a strong effort from Horford.
Nikola Mirotic – $6,700
Mirotic could possibly be playing some of the best basketball at the forward position, outside of LeBron James. In the last 8 games, he has over 35 DraftKings NBA points in each game & shooting over 40% from the field & from three-point range. The Cavs defense is definitely not as strong as the offense, and Mirotic is in a true rhythm right now.
This may be the last night that Mirotic is available under $7,000 so definitely figure out a way to get him on your squad for tonight.
Lauri Markkannen – $5,000
Markkannen has suffered a bit in terms of minutes since Mirotic & Portis have come back, however, the young rookie from Arizona is still a guy who can shoot from deep & can play a bit in the post. Going against a weak frontcourt of the Cavs, at $5K, Lauri is a cheap, but solid value pick here.
He has only one game under 20 points (his most recent game) in his last 10 & I believe that game is not indicative of his true body of work.
