DeMarcus Cousins – $11,100
At the power forward & center positions tonight, there are many great selections, selections that you honestly couldn’t go too wrong with. The main reason we go with Boogie here is because his overall big man dominance has been a bit better than anyone else on the slate.
Cousins is averaging the third-highest amount of DraftKings NBA points over the last 10 games, outside of only LeBron & James Harden. I’m a big fan of his matchup against Vucevic & other Orlando big men, especially when they have to guard him one-on-one either in the post or perimeter.
Orlando only gives up around 73 DraftKings NBA points to the PF/C position, but those numbers will go up when you can’t double the dominant big. New Orleans has two dominant bigs, and Boogie is showing he is the best center in the NBA right now.
Michael Beasley – $5,200
This pick isn’t about a particular matchup one way or another, but Beasley is a true effort & hustle guy at this point in his career. Im not sold on Porzingis being healthy right now. Last night’s effort was completely unlike him & his injuries are starting to take a toll on his game.
On the backend of a back-to-back scenario, look for the Knicks to possibly lean a bit more on Beasley here to keep up the energy and hustle, which could mean more DraftKings NBA points. He has over 40 DraftKings points in two of his last three games, while gaining over 35 minutes in those contests.
Beasley will help KP get himself back together going into Christmas Day, so look for a big night from the journeyman who has found a home in NYC.
Nikola Vucevic – $8,900
Vucevic has been a model of consistency all year long for the Magic. He has double-doubles in points & rebounds in 8 of his last 10 games, and he has increased his rate of giving out assists as well.
While the Pelicans have great big men offensively in Davis & Cousins, they are a combined average of 5th worst in terms of DraftKings NBA points given up to power forwards & centers over the last 5 & 10 game periods.
In his previous matchup against the Pelicans, Vucevic had 35 DraftKings points – 20 points, 8 rebounds & shot over 50% from the field.
