DraftKings NBA DFS Picks April 4 2018 Small Forwards

DraftKings NBA DFS Picks April 4 2018 Small Forwards

At the small forward position, there is always great talent across the board. Tonight is no different, the only question is what are going to be the minutes restrictions for some teams. The elite teams may not play huge minutes overall, but the teams fighting for something should be nice plays. Also, the teams that are playing down for draft positioning could have some interesting playing scenarios. Here are our DraftKings NBA DFS Picks April 4, 2018 Small Forwards preview for tonight.

DraftKings NBA DFS Picks April 4, 2018 Small Forwards

Kyle Kuzma – $7,200

This season has been the year of Kuzma. He has shown to be the best draft pick the Los Angeles Lakers made this season, even more than Lonzo Ball. As the Lakers are out of the running for the season, head coach Luke Walton is playing Kuz major minutes right now. He doesn’t have a game under 32 minutes played in the last 10 games, and his floor is 24 DraftKings points with a ceiling of 56.

Of course, the Spurs don’t have Kawhi right now to be that long player that can stay with Kuzma. This is another big reason that at $7,200, this is a solid pick. Plus, in the last 10 games, the Spurs are giving up the 5th most points to the small forward position in the NBA (71 DraftKings points per game).

Robert Covington – $6,200

Covington is taking a big step in the offensive game with Joel Embiid out until the playoffs. In the last two games, he has scored 50 & 38 DraftKings DFS points respectively. The Pistons are strong against point guards (60 DK points per game), but Ben Simmons is playing at a such a high level that Covington is going to get many more open shots regularly. From a pure scoring output, Covington is the #1 guy for right now until the big man comes back, so that $6,200 salary should be a high value pick for tonight.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope – $5,400

KCP is another Lakers player who is getting major run towards the end of the season. He has played over 32 minutes in 12 of the last 13 games. His shooting has been strong during that time, and getting up at least 12-15 attempts per game. KCP is a solid rebounder & he has a game right now that is very similar to a former Laker – Lou Williams. With nothing to play for with the Lakers right now, look for guys to jack up shots regularly as the Lakers are #1 in the NBA in offensive pace (102.7).

Dorian Finney-Smith – $3,400

Finney-Smith sat out last nights game against Portland, but is expected back tonight against the Orlando Magic. In his last 8 games, he has over 20 minutes per game, and double digit DraftKings points in last 9. He is athletic & will be able to get to the basket well. With offensive opportunities being in high supply at the end of the year, Finney-Smith is a nice price at $3,400.

While Dallas plays the third slowest pace in the league, Orlando will look to speed them up as they are top 10 in pace. This bodes well for an athletic guy like Finney-Smith.
