DraftKings NBA DFS Picks April 29 2018

Today is a light day in the NBA playoffs. However, we have a game 7 between the Indiana Pacers & the Cleveland Cavaliers. Also, we have game 1 of the West semifinals with the Utah Jazz going to Houston to take on the top-seed Rockets. Plenty of scoring chances today & we will put out our lineup for the afternoon. See our DraftKings NBA DFS Picks April 29 2018 edition here at DraftKings Master.

DraftKings NBA DFS Picks April 29 2018

Normally, we put out several different picks for different positions at each area. However, at this point in the NBA playoffs, most nights will only have two games going. We will only put out our optimum lineup at each area & analyze the players at those positions. With that said, lets get to the premium lineups for tonight.

PG – Donovan Mitchell – $8,900

Mitchell is not playing like a rookie in this year’s NBA Playoffs. He was the driving factor for bringing the Jazz past the Oklahoma City Thunder in 6 games. Going against the Rockets will be a completely different challenge, however. During the regular season, Mitchell only averaged 28 DraftKings NBA DFS points per game in four games. He didn’t shoot well from the three-point range, and shot 44% overall. But this Utah Jazz team is a much different squad right now. Mitchell is able to get his shot anytime he wants & has a favorable matchup against James Harden.

In the first round, he had a ceiling of 52 & floor of 38. Under $10K? Go with #45 in this slate.

SG – Eric Gordon – $4,900

At under $5K, Gordon is a nice play here. The Rockets spread the offense around nicely in the closeout game against Minnesota Timberwolves last week. The Jazz will be better on the defensive end, but Gordon should get his share of open shots. He has three straight games in double digit points & over 20 DraftKings NBA DFS points. Gordon is also playing over 30 minutes per game in the playoffs & in the last two games, he is shooting over 40% from downtown.

SF – LeBron James – $12,000

Game 7. LeBron James at home. Must win situation. No other offense to speak of to help him. Look for LBJ to put up a massive game here. Nothing more to be said.

PF – Thaddeus Young – $5,400

Young has been an unsung hero during the series against the Cavs. The young forward has not had game under 20 DraftKings NBA DFS points during the series. He has a ceiling of 43 points in game 4. The Cavs have not had an answer for the bigs for the most part & that shouldn’t change here. Young brings a nice, full statline to each game due to playing over 35 minutes per game. In big game situations, we like to lean more on those players due to higher level of focus. At $5,400, Young should be a good asset to the tournament lineup today.

C – Clint Capella – $6,900

Against Minnesota, Capella ate the Wolves for lunch. He had three games over 45 DraftKings NBA DFS points, and he benefitted from all of the attention teams put on Harden & CP3. It may be a bit tougher against Rudy Gobert, but Capella should be open at the basket for offensive rebounds & put backs. At home, we like Capella here to feast off of the offensive firepower of his teammates.

G – Darren Collison – $5,100

Collison is the definition of an up & down player. However, we feel as though Collison should have some chances to make big shots today. The Cavs are going to have to put major effort on Victor Oladipo, especially having LeBron guarding up for long stretches. Other than Jeff Green, the Cavs don’t truly have a defensive stopper that can go to the PG position & cause trouble. Collison feeds off of the strength of Oladipo & Myles Turner. However, he has two games in the series of 11 DraftKings points. But also has games over 25 DraftKings points. He has been up & down for the duration of the series, but we like him as a tournament play today. However, do NOT go with him in any 50/50 format.

F – Ryan Anderson – $3,400

This pick is either Anderson or Tristan Thompson. Ever since Thompson got caught on the video tape, his head & everything else is not where its supposed to be. Anderson does what he does – put up three’s when he has floor time. Right now he is averaging 15 minutes per game for the Rockets. When the Rockets offense is truly clicking, everyone on the team is dangerous, including Anderson. He has double digit DraftKings NBA DFS points in two of his last three games, and honestly, we just don’t have the faith in Thompson at near the same value to step up big today.

Utility – Alec Burks – $3,400

Burks is a pick simply because Ricky Rubio is out for game 1. The Jazz are saying that he has a hamstring issue & could be out for 10 days, which could be 3-4 games of the playoff. For game 1, Burks should be inline to get the first backup role behind Mitchell & Ingles. He could be a starter, but no matter what, his minutes should go up quite a bit, and that alone makes him a good fantasy player  in the slate today.
