Got a great crop of wide receivers in big time matchups on this Sunday afternoon. All of the elite-level players all have opportunities to be game-breakers. We should note that at the time of this writing, Josh Gordon is now officially not playing for the Browns. The team announces that they will trade or release him by Monday. With that said, definitely look at adjusting your rosters accordingly. Here are our DraftKings NFL Wide Receiver Picks Week 2 edition.
Antonio Brown – $8,800 – DraftKings DFS NFL Wide Receiver Picks Week 2
Another week, another great fantasy move to have Antonio Brown on the roster. Last week, he was targeted 16 times & had 9 receptions for 93 yards. A basic day for quite possibly the best receiver in the NFL. Brown should have another big week going against a terrible Kansas City pass defense that gave up over 400 yards to Philip Rivers & the Chargers last week. There is no way for the Chiefs to double him with Ju-Ju on the opposite side & James Conner running the ball well. He had 24 DraftKings points last week, which is low for him. Look for a bounce back & even bigger numbers this week into the 40-45 point range.
Michael Thomas – $8,600
Clearly, the third year receiver is the #1 receiver for Drew Brees, which means he will always be a fantasy win for your lineup. He had 16 receptions on 17 targets last week – just insane video game numbers. People actually believe the Bucs had a great defense going into the season. The Browns defense still has a lot to prove & Brees is going to test & target that secondary again & again. Look for Thomas to have a monster day here. The Saints offense is Brees, Kamara & Thomas, so feel comfortable that those three will consistently put up massive numbers all game long. Thomas had 42 DraftKings points last week, which is great for a wide receiver. There is a great chance that those numbers could be much higher this weekend in the Superdome.
Keenan Allen – $7,800
Allen is forgotten about many times in the league, but fantasy owners know that this guy is incredibly consistent. Much like Michael Thomas, Keenan Allen benefits from having a guy who is not gun shy about getting the ball down the field all the time in Philip Rivers. The Buffalo Bills don’t look anything like a squad that is going to be mildly competitive this year, so look for Allen to have a field day on the Bills secondary. Could definitely get into the 35 DraftKings DFS NFL point range.
Kenny Golladay – $4,800
Golladay is a guy who is sneaking up on football fans in terms of his fantasy impact. For Detroit Lions fans, he reminds many of Calvin Johnson. He has the size, speed & breakaway skills to be a dominant receiver in years to come. Even with the blowout against the Jets, Golladay stood out, having 7 receptions & 114 yards. Look for the team to get him more involved in the offense, especially on deep routes with his ability to take the top off the defense better than anyone on the roster.
Jarvis Landry – ($6,700)
Landry is proven to be the Browns #1 offensive target now. In week 1 against the Steelers, Landry had a strong opening, gaining 7 receptions for 106 yards with plenty of targets. With Josh Gordon no longer with the Browns, look for Landry to become an even bigger focus of the offense. Normally, we don’t trust Browns QBs a ton, but Tyrod Taylor should be able to take advantage of a traditionally weak New Orleans Saints defense by allowing Landry to go deep often. Could be in line for a 35-40 pt DraftKings DFS day.
